ACT Math:

The ACT blues have you down? Well, shape up and chase those blues away with our Summer ACT Math Camps. We will be breaking down the components of the ACT over a course of six weeks and working out ACT problems together. And the best part…real exposure to an ACT setting!

ACT Math

July 10- August 5th

Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays

13 + This class is suitable for those in high school or entering high school.

ACT Reading:

Can’t quite put your finger on what makes reading for the ACT different than reading for school or leisure?  Mastering reading for the ACT takes a special set of skills.  Come forget everything you thought you knew about reading and prep for the reading ACT.

English Tips

July 10- August 5th:

Wednesdays

13 + This class is suitable for those in high school or entering high school.

ACT English:

Did you misplace your modifier? Splice your comma? Does grammar have you in a rut? Fear no more! Our three-week ACT English camp will cover all you need to know about the English test – including mechanics, grammar, and usage and rhetorical skills.

ACT Science:

Tired and frustrated by those confusing graphs and charts on the science portion of the ACT!? Then come to the ACT Science summer camp! We will teach you how to decipher and reason your way through all those confusing questions. We will also let you put your newfound skills to work on practice tests so that you can be prepared to knock out the last portion of the ACT!

Gambler’s Fallacies:

If developing a foolproof strategy for Rock-Paper-Scissors or determining whether or not you made a good deal sounds interesting to you, here’s your chance to learn how. This summer camp will use various games of chance as well as certain game show scenarios to discuss probability, address common probability misconceptions, and demonstrate an application of probability that ‘s fun to do.

Completed High School Algebra II or equivalent

High School Math Prep:

Getting ready to take that next step or need to review your algebra basics? Please join us in our prep class where we will refine our algebra skills without a calculator and build a foundation of basic graphs. This class will review the most misunderstood topics from Pre-Algebra, Introductory Algebra, and Intermediate Algebra in a three-week course.

HS Math

July 10- August 5th

This class is suitable for those entering high school.

Scholarship:

College is expensive, and paying for it isn’t always easy.  Scholarships are a great way to lessen your financial burden.  There are thousands of scholarships available for students of all ages.  Join Mrs. Renee as she discusses where to find and how to apply for these scholarships. By the end of this 4 hours course, each student will have 1 completed scholarship essay ready to use!

Resume/Interview:

Did you know that potential employers typically only look at the first 1/3 of a resume before they make a decision about a prospective employee?  Come learn this and other facts about resumes with Mrs. Renee. Many will argue that a resume is the single most important document you’ll compose in your life.  Is yours up to par? By the end of this 4 hour course, students will learn how to create an effective resume, cover letter, and conduct a professional interview.
